Convection ovens maintain uniform temperature with the help of built-in fans and cook faster at minimum temperature to give better result. A convection oven is a technological boon to human beings. It has three parts: a magnetron, a heater and a fan. The built-in fan helps maintain uniform heating by circulating the hot air uniformly and ensures consistency. This oven helps us in baking as well as cooking. The hot air circulated brings out the best cooking results.
This oven maintains a uniform temperature and it is less expensive than other ones. Moreover, it cooks food faster than other ovens at low temperature and the temperature reaches from top to bottom of the food.
Unlike other ovens this oven does not give you any complaint like the bottom sides of the food becoming scorched while the tops are not even browned uniformly. This is due to not causing any variation in the temperature during the cooking time. This variation is regulated by using a fan which blows hot air.
Though this type of cooking needs some adjustments, it is easier and it runs for a long duration as compared to other models. Since the hot air penetrates more easily into the cooking container and the exposed food tops, it will take less time to cook. Furthermore, pastry comes out better since it does not allow the flour and the butter to fuse. This reduces the cooking time 25% less and saves energy.
This oven works like the conventional stove. Food is kept on a rack and the heating elements fixed in the oven heats the air inside the chamber. A fan built inside the chamber circulates the hot air inside the chamber. There are many types of models available. Some of them are Toaster oven, Microwave convection oven, Oven cooking, Gas oven, Oven Roast, Glass oven and Oven baking.
Because of all the reasons given above, convection ovens are increasingly found not only in restaurants but also in most of the renovated kitchens of home cooks.
